HOW DO I CARE FOR HANDMADE POTTERY?

Handwashing is always safest for a treasured piece, but unless otherwise specified, all Home Cooked Pottery is intended to stand up to regular kitchen use, including the microwave and dishwasher. Some dishwashers have super-heated sanitizing cycles that may cause stoneware to crack from thermal shock, so just make sure to check your cycle.

IS MY PIECE FOOD SAFE?

Yes! I mix my own glazes and can confidently assure you there is no lead, cadmium, or barium is used in the manufacture of these pots. All components of the pots are carefully fired to appropriate temperatures and vitrified.
